DDRC Healthcare is best known for its recompression chamber and the treatment of divers with Decompression Illness. This is what the NHS pays us to do and why we offer a 24/7/365 emergency service to our diving enthusiasts.

Decompression Illness – what is it? – find out more about this condition also known as the ‘bends’ and how it might affect you.
Fitness to Dive – recreational diver medicals can only be processed via our Fitness to Dive telephone consultation service. This bookable service is extremely popular and useful to enable our diving doctors to assess your suitability to dive should you have any issues.
Can I Dive With? – these pages contain a wealth of information to help you decide if you should get more advice or allay any fears. Maybe you are concerned about a previous or current medical condition or maybe you are on medication and wonder if it affects your diving. If your answers are not found on these pages please use the Fitness to Dive service to help you further.
Diving Surveys – for several years we have conducted surveys into diving habits and these can be found under our Divers Health research. Looking at what divers are doing ‘out if the field’ to ascertain how everyday things like flying might affect your diving.

Events:
Professional Dive Boat Skippers Day – annual event with the next one being on Monday 20th January – an opportunity for professional skippers together for discussion and refreshing of skills.
Dive Accident Responder Course – annual event with the next one being on Saturday 15th March. This day for recreational divers looks at how you would manage a diving incident and also includes a 40m dry dive, Basic Life Skills refresher, DCI awareness and treatment and talks from Search & Rescue/RNLI re: diver evacuation.
