Cardiovascular risk and SCUBA diving PhD student online survey

DDRC Healthcare is undertaking a collaborative research project with Plymouth Marjon University looking at cardiovascular risk prevention in divers.  Our Research Director, Gary Smerdon, is working with Dr Giorgos Sakkas at Marjons University, together with Jo Alexiou undertaking research towards her PhD qualification.

Jo is an active Scuba diver and clinical exercise physiologist in cardiovascular rehabilitation. Her PhD project subject is ‘Non-pharmacological strategies for primary cardiovascular risk prevention in asymptomatic scuba divers with high cardiovascular risk’.

Can You Help By Completing a Survey?

Jo is asking the diving community to assist her in the online survey (link below) to gather anonymous responses to questions on diving habits and diver’s health status.

As the project develops there will be further opportunities to get involved but at this stage completion of the survey would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
