Doug Watts joined DDRC in 2017 as a Senior Doctor.
He is a GP and, prior to joining DDRC, worked for the Royal Marines as a Civilian GP. During his GP training he completed his PADI Divemaster and worked as a medic on dive expeditions in Central America.
He is an Approved Doctor (AD) for the MCA, Approved Medical Examiner of Divers (AMED) for the HSE, a UKDMC Sport diver Referee and an OGUK doctor.
Doug has additional roles as Clinical Lead for HBOT for NHS England. He also continues to work clinically as a GP.
