This week we waved farewell to Dr Ash.
Ash first joined DDRC as our very first F2 doctor nearly two years ago, and we were delighted when she returned after completing her hospital rotations to take up the role of Fellowship Doctor.
Over the past year, she’s been a cheerful and dedicated presence at DDRC — delivering teaching, supporting countless Fitness to Dive calls, and getting involved in a wide range of clinical and academic work. Ash also represented DDRC at the BHA Conference in Hull this year, where she presented our work on hypospadias treatments alongside Susan, as well as data she gathered from BHA helpline calls.
Ash is now off to London for an exciting new chapter as a Simulation Fellow at University College Hospital — a well-deserved and prestigious post. We’ll miss her energy and enthusiasm, but we’re thrilled that she’ll be back this autumn to help lead our new PGCert in Diving Medicine course.
Thank you, Ash, and best of luck in all your next adventures!
