Events: Conferences, Talks, Training & More

Holding events is just one way in which we deliver our charitable objectives to improve diver safety education and increase awareness of hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) therapy. Events may be aimed at the diving community, specialist medical professionals, or for wider interest. Regular scheduled events include: Diving and Hyperbaric Medicine Taster Days, Dive Accident Responder Course (DARC), and Dive Boat Skippers Conference. We also work collaboratively with the local Tissue and Wound Interest Group (TWIG) and participate in events linked to wound care or hyperbaric medicine. Details of our forthcoming events can be found below.

Aside from our planned schedule of events and activities, we can also arrange for groups to have a bespoke ‘Talk, Tour or Pot Dive‘ in order to become better acquainted with all of the fascinating work that we do. You can come to our facility or we can sometimes arrange to give a presentation elsewhere (depending on availability and requirements). Please contact us if you are interested in holding a joint event, booking a talk or sponsoring an event. Thank you.

    Dive Accident Responder Course

    1 day, 08:30 AM - 05:00 PM
We are once again running our popular 1-day Dive Accident Responder Course, also know as DARC, specifically designed to meet the needs of recreational divers. Could you manage a diving accident? Would you know what to do if your buddy surfaced unconscious? What does it feel like to be recompressed? These are just some of the topics covered on this one day event at our chamber facility in Plymouth.
