I have had links with DDRC since 1997 when I was a student at the University of Plymouth, graduating in 2001 with a BSc(Hons) in Hydrography and then started my career offshore. While at home between trips away I still did some bank staff work for DDRC until 2007.
While working as a freelance Hydrographic surveyor I also did a few trips on Diving Support Vessels as an A/LST working on the Saturation chamber system and diving bell (in West Africa and the North Sea. It was in 2006 that I started working for Norwegian company EMGS as a Hydrographer.
As part of my move away from working offshore I started looking for local opportunities and approached DDRC. Luckily an opportunity for Training Officer came about and I will not only be delivering courses, but will also train to work for the chamber team.
