DAN Instructor Qualification Course (IQC) |

Active Diving Instructors with a current CPR certificate can participate in a DAN IQC to get certified as a DAN Instructor and deliver one or more of the courses listed below. After the IQC they will be able to offer the DAN courses to their own students.
The IQC has a modular format.
Day 1 IQC Core and Oxygen (OFA) modules
Day 2 and 3 Choice of modules from those listed below:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Oxygen (ADV)
- Medical Oxygen Rebreather (MO2R)
- Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
- Hazardous Marine Life Injuries (HMLI)
(Note, It is possible to do up to four additional modules in the two days)
Existing DAN Instructors can attend for additional modules on the Saturday and Sunday.
DAN now has two combined provider packages:
- To teach Diving Emergency Management Provider course (DEM) the instructor must have AED and HMLI modules in addition to Core and OFA.
- To teach the Diving First Responder Provider course (DFR) the instructor must also have the ADV module.
Pre-requisites: Current DAN Member (can be arranged at start of course), Active Diving Instructor, current CPR qualification and current DAN Provider for courses that the Instructor wishes to teach. The provider courses will be taught prior to each instructor module.
The course cost includes all DAN materials required.
