Risk Assessment PDF Print E-mail
Risk assessment is an integral part of workplace safety, protecting both workers and businesses, as well as being necessary to comply with the law. This workshop will help give candidates the knowledge and skills essential in identifying the risks that realistically have the potential to cause harm in the workplace. It will then go on to highlight the simple but effective measures that can be used to either eliminate or control the more commonly encountered risks, within the scope of being ‘reasonably practical’. At the end of the course each candidate will be able to:

  • Know what constitutes a hazard and the different methods available for identifying them
  • Determine who potentially may be harmed by a hazard and to what degree
  • Estimate the level of risk that a hazard represents
  • Record and report on findings
  • Decide what measures can be put in place to reduce the risk of harm
  • Review and re-evaluate all of the above
