Assistant Life Support Technician (ALST) PDF Print E-mail
Divers living in saturation conditions are controlled by trained personnel from outside the deck compression chambers.
Increasingly sophisticated equipment and larger chamber complexes have been developed to meet the need for divers to work at depth.
Life Support Technicians operate the saturation chamber complex under control of a Diving or Life Support Supervisor.
The starting point for this fascinating and interesting career is to become an Assistant Life Support Technician; all entrants must undergo and pass an approved IMCA basic course.

DDRC Professional Services are a registered training establishment with the International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA). All courses are IMCA approved.
The 5 Day course must be taken in conjunction with the Diver Medic Technician Course run over the previous 2 weeks.
The 15 day ALST/DMT combined course cost - 1300 GBP inc. VAT.

A 10 day ALST course can be undertaken separately by arrangement with a minimum of four candidates.
