DDRC Coaster Photographic Competition

At this years Birmingham Dive Show DDRC will launch their photographic competition for 2009/10.
The idea is quite simple. Photographers will need to take a DDRC coaster and photograph it either in a comical pose or somewhere picturesque then enter it online through DDRC's Facebook page. The competition will run for just under a year with the winners being announced at next year's Birmingham Dive Show.

The DDRC coaster photographic competition 2009 has two categories comical pose and somewhere picturesque. There will be 3 main prize winners. One from each category and an overall prize winner which will be the photograph which in the judges opinion is the best photograph submitted.
The aim of the competition is to take a DDRC coaster and photograph it in a manner that would fit into one of the above categories. Photographers are invited to be creative and imaginative as possible, although the judges will also take into account the following key criteria when judging entries:
- overall photographic
- effect technical
- merit originality
- artistic impression
Each entry must feature a DDRC coaster somewhere in the picture. Coasters are available from DDRC by sending your name and address to DDRC with a cheque or postal order for £2 to cover postage and packing.
Entries must be submitted via the DDRC Facebook website page. To do this you must be a Friend of DDRC on Facebook. To become a fan of DDRC just follow the this Facebook link. Once you are on the DDRC Facebook page go to the photos section and upload your picture into the appropriate photo album. Once you have uploaded your photo you should tag it with your name so that we can contact you if necessary.
