Care Quality Commission
The Care Quality Commission is the independent regulator of health and social care in England.
Health and Safety Executive (HSE)
The Health and Safety Commission is responsible for health and safety regulation in Great Britain. The Health and Safety Executive and local government are the enforcing authorities who work in support of the Commission.
IMCA
IMCA is the international trade association representing offshore, marine and underwater engineering companies. IMCA promotes improvements in quality, health, safety, and environmental and technical standards through the publication of guidance and information notes, codes of practice, and by other appropriate means. Members also receive regular briefing notes on technical issues, regulatory developments, and news and events appropriate to own activities.
Association of Diving Contractors (ADC)
The Association of Diving Contractors (ADC) was set up as a separate organisation in January 1995 to represent those diving contractors who work inland and inshore in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Prior to that date the organisation had existed as the inland / inshore section of the Association of Offshore Diving Contractors (AODC).
British Hyperbaric Association (BHA)
The aims and objectives of the BHA are to promote the understanding and safe practice of hyperbaric medicine and to provide a forum for discussion of hyperbaric therapy in the British Isles.
Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI)
PADI is the largest and most recognised diving organisation in the world with courses ranging from Snorkelling to Course Director.
British Sub Aqua Club (BSAC)
The British Sub Aqua Club is the governing body for sport diving in the UK. BSAC has some 45,000 members which makes it the largest single diving club in the world.
Sub Aqua Association (SAA)
The Sub Aqua Association (SAA) is an association of independent dive clubs. SAA member clubs maintain their independence while maintaining the national standards of the SAA and benefiting from regional and national support.
Divers Alert Network (DAN)
Divers Alert Network a nonprofit scuba diving and dive safety association providing expert medical advise for underwater injuries.
Plymouth Marine Sciences Partnership
The primary mission of the Plymouth Marine Sciences Partnership is to conduct world-class marine research to increase fundamental knowledge and to provide practical solutions to problems.
British Diving Safety Group (BDSG)
The British Diving Safety Group (BDSG) was formed in 2002 to promote safe diving practices amongst the British sport diving community. Currently chaired by the RNLI, the group has a broad representation, with all of the UK diver training agencies, the HSE and the MCA having a seat at the table.
