Chamber Complex: We have four hyperbaric chambers in Plymouth, a Krug multi-place that can take up to 9 people, two smaller Comex multi-place chambers and a Perry mono-place chamber which accommodates just one person. In Wales we have two Perry mono-place chambers.
DDRC Wound Care Ltd Plymouth: We have two fully equipped wound care bays in a purpose built department
DDRC Professional Services Ltd Plymouth Training Facilities: We have three modern, clean, comfortable training rooms, all with multi-media projection systems and access to our Chamber Complex and treatment areas. Students have access to equipment such as resuscitation manikins, fully stocked paramedic kits, oxygen administration systems, AEDs and scoop stretchers.
Our training focus is on providing practical, realistic scenarios for our students and we have access to areas such as plant rooms and a mock sick-bay room, as well as links with external facilities such as the neighbouring Derriford Hospital, Peninsula School of Medicine & Dentistry and Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue service.
Research Facilities: Our Research Team are based here in Plymouth, with access to our library, laboratory and all other on site facilities. The mono-place chamber is frequently used for patients participating in clinical trials.
Treatment & Visitor Facilities: The Centre is fully accessible for both emergency and routine patients and contains a large, welcoming visitor lounge, consultation and medical examination rooms, as well as resuscitation room adjacent to our chamber room.
In Wales, our hyperbaric chamber unit is smaller and is located within the private Spire Cardiff Hospital. Only non-emergency patients are treated here.
Full details can be found in our Patient Guide or contact us for more information. Free parking is available on both sites and our facilities are fully accessible.
